Toyota Auris (07 - 13)

The Auris, closely related to the popular Corolla, gave Toyota the chance to really go after buyers in the family hatchback segment. The Corolla’s success in previous years had given Toyota the perfect base for building it. The Auris is well-built, practical, reliable, easy to drive, and easy on the wallet. The cabin has a decent amount of space with good leg/head room, and a good boot, which can carry some large items. The seating system can also be altered to increase the boot size. There is a good level of equipment. There are high-quality materials in the cabin to give it a nice, comfortable feel. When it comes to driving, it’s reminiscent of the Corolla. It is a solid, light drive with minimum effort from the person behind the wheel. There is a nice feel to the steering which is responsive and well-weighted. This has a good quality feel on the road with the worst effects of bumps and crevices well cushioned by a fine suspension. As ever, Toyota have some fine engines, with the emphasis on impressive mpg and low co2 emissions. The Auris holds its value really well. And is value for money.
