Ford Transit (14 - present)

There’s no denying the importance of the Transit to the van market. It’s seen as the main competitor for any company no matter how big their own reputation might be. Ford are as good at making vans as they are cars, it even outsold the BMW 3-Series across the water last year. The all new Transit stands atop a four-tiered family which consists of the Transit Connect, Custom, and Courier, and it comes in two kit levels; the Trend and Base. Both are pretty well kitted out and have some impressive safety features. In terms of practicality, there’s lots of passenger space in the refined cabin, and depending on what body-type you go for, it can carry loads anywhere between 11.2 cubic metres and 15.1 cubic metres. On the road, it is definitely one of the best and easiest in class to drive, even with the largest wheelbase. It handles well, the steering is well-weighted, and the ride quality is quite smooth on the move.
